A fatal knife called love

Penetrating scars,

held deep and close,

pain of unrequited emotions,

love is intoxicating,

shred of pain,

unhealed wounds,

how do we find closure?

seeking love again,

this emotion running far away from us,

like an adrenaline kick,

jettisoning us in the air,

penning mushy poetry and songs,

ageless like well bred and kept wine,

tasting better with time,

intimate oxymoron,

sensual touching,

running up and down,

balm to heal and hide bruises,

make what you may,

pain gives pleasure,

the passion of trudging the complex and battered route,

no wonder,

we are complex,

carried away blindly,

by this fatal knife.

With love

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.

  1. Ooooo you are one of those complex poets aren’t you, filled with angst and a flair to write the words which slash the brain and pierce the heart…
Great words. I am no poet and hence I understand very little of poetry

    1. I am quite complex but still love it when people call me a poet. Angst! I try channel the excess energy in words…like u said slash the brain and pierce the heart. I try to be a poet which I am not guess haven’t been trained as one…guess anger with the self ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Oooh words of love are salted? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” Now that’s something new… I have heard sweet and tangy…
Man, you poets are different ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Thanks Shayra. I think the theme is love but added layers, experimenting with various emotions, like anger and scars. But, agree for I go with the flow and experiment a lot ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. A day not so long ago
A time not so far away
    Me in waves of bay
You in angst on the go

    Till time stopped
    The moment hushed
    The heart sliced
    The brain pierced

A song broke of era past
Befell the red, gold glitter fast
A rhythm old, a magic divine
Hark ye, hark me, it was a sign

    Salted words, music crystal
A beat in heart oh so still
A dance it was unknown to all
The earth smiled, knowing it all

A day not so long ago
A time not so far away
    There was me all giggles
    There was you, all smiles
