Bas kuch lamhon

Un lamhon ko kabhie qaid mat karo,

zindagi ke bhaag daur mein,

ek hamara jeeven ke saathi hai,

bas kuch lamhon,

jab bhi saari duniya saat chhod de

bas woh haseen ke pal,

kuch aise lamhein,

choti si khushiyan,

dekh ke hum muskaraye,

bas kuch lamhon aur pal,

ek aisa ehsaas,

woh anokhi lamhon aur kuch pal,

bas kuch yaadein ke sahare,

zindagi ka maaza lete,

Woh haseen aur sunehra pal,

aisa lagta poora Zindagi jee liya

bas aise hi ek lamha,

woh dosti woh khushi ke pal,

har pal mein jiyo

bas kuch yaadein,

pinjre se azaad karlo,

woh pal,

woh ansh zindagi ka

Bas kuch lamhe

Mehsoos karo apne zehen aur saans mein.

PS: I wrote this poem in the bus today and was inspired by a conversation I had days ago with a very soulful friend, Ajitabh bhaiya.

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.

  1. Beautifully written, Vishal!
Mindfulness is the need of the hour, it is what shall help us all find meaning in the lives we lead, experiences & memories we hold dear.

    1. Thanks so much. It was a mistake I made and perhaps still by imprisoning memories wanting them to come back. Mindfulness is such a necessity and agree so much to you. Free memories like love can work wonder to the soul.

    1. Bohot shukriya aapko. I’ve been trying to chain memories for too long but after this soulful conversation with my friend, I am learning to let go and be free. But, memories remain such a happy moment making us smile. Thanks Radhika.

    1. Thanks Saru and my attempt in Hindi on those memories but now trying to free them. I love how you put it, storing them in a beautiful place. Our mind is the safest. I am so glad a flawless poet like you could identify with my words.
