Liberation and soul

Unwanted thoughts,

filter the mind,

scattered emotions,





in search of liberation,

a long route perhaps,

wading through thorns,

bruised soul,

a prayer,

for hope,

illusion hurts,


waging a battle within,

keep the flame alive,

conquer the demons,

and silly thoughts,

finding one’s reflection in the mirror,

scattered branches,

the veins.

the protective angel seeping,

a divine goddess,

O’ warrior,

where art thou!

rise from ashes,

make your story on blank pages,

adorn with a mosaic of colorful patterns.

faith riding high!

  1. Oh my goodness, Vishal, I could literally feel the emotions swing from one side of gloomy to the other side of hope. This is a masterpiece.
    It’s like there are a group of black-clad demons trying to suck the poet in, but a small sliver of light on the other side, an angel, quietly pulling him/her towards hope.

    1. Thanks Avyukta anf glad to see you here. The pain of going through things of being fettered by the black clad demons and finding liberation. We should trust our angels. Glad that you love the poems.

  2. It’s a very deep poem . Well crafted the swing of emotions from dark to light, from fear to hope . I liked the last few lines very much . Rise from ashes 👌👏

      1. Absolutely, Vishal. We all have our down times but we be we should allow ourselves to wallow in them as long as they do not swallow us whole. Angels are around us always protecting us, you just need to take notice of them, Vishal. Take care, Vishal

    1. Thanks Radhika. At times, I feel that cannot focus the mind due to the depression keep harping. The last week, I woke up in a negative manner but expression in the diary, five minutes meditation and calm app on my iphone is helping. I am not seeking outside help, though!
