Independence Day shots

Independence Day came and went. It’s a moment of pride for us, Indians. Every year, I make it a point to wake up early and take the bus to attend the flag raising ceremony, after which the Indian High Commissioner reads the message of the Indian Head of State. As singers recite Jnana Gana Mana, the voice chokes with emotions watching the tricolor unfurl. One shouldn’t forget their roots and how our ancestors fought for the country’s independence. I am glad to share mobile shots of Independence Day.

The Indian flag is unfurled on August 15.

The crowd proudly displays their Indian flag in an emotional way and shows pride.

The Indian Navy standing on the podium  and the crowd showing respect to the Indian flag. I was standing at the back and the phone click is not great.

Yours truly posing proudly with the small flag behind the Indian flag hoisted.

With Love

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.
