True Love

True love.

Selfless, soulful and a beautiful heart.

Inherent power, love holds over the mind.

Pure as white,

emotions flowing high in our consciousness.

True love is the state of ecstasy.

Being alive is love.

Loving without expectations,

it set the soul free.

Free from the shackle of bondage and prejudice,

we are seekers in this ultimate journey.

Opening our souls.

Bodies intermingle.

Yet! Passionate souls touch each other’s inner chord.

Love blows our minds.

Passion where the mind knows no reason.

True love is worthy of storms defining our existence.

Unrequited it may,

our life shall never remain the same.

Some hearts will be buried.

Evolved are the souls who lost but found themselves.

Rising above attachment.

Freeing themselves.

We may never find true love.

It will further elude us.

We are seekers on the path of true love.

A conversation kindles true love,

beyond the realm of attachment.

The poem has been inspired by this beautiful image posted by Nitya Singh on Facebook, an incredible and super talented lady.

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.

  1. The only thing I’d like to say is that true love need not necessarily exist among two humans alone. True love could, in fact, be defined as oneness with life. That said, your lines are reminiscent of those brief moments when one feels oneness with another person. They resonate. The heart beats

  2. So nicely penned…I find conversations are a way to express and discover not just love but depth of all relations. There your poem hits a chord with me 😀

  3. As I grow older and cynical… my rose tinted glasses fall away… and I feel True Love is found in yellowing pages of romance novels and rhyming words of poetry spun by a few… is there any such thing as true love? The words were beautiful, but I am questioning the very existence of unconditional true love these days…

    1. I believe yes there is a true love. You may love someone momentarily, but as long as it is true love. The love you share with your daughter is selfless. You can be one with nature and life. It’s true love:)
