Longing for shelter and warmth

Constantly yelping in the cold night,

seeking comfort from the not so kind weather to them;

It rained heavily during the day;

Deserted streets, everyone are cuddling in the comfort of their home, wrapped by the warm blanket;

Our unfortunate friends cry from the heart,

we also have a life;

How I wish I could run on the street and hug them;

The dogs are roaming and have no place to shelter themselves living among the human mass enjoying their home comfort;

How insensitive of owners letting their pets out!

Just pray that they come and sleep on the veranda and my wish will reach their ears.

The sky and cloud will protect our friends to ward off the cold night.

They have a heart to love and offer unflinching love for humans,

yet we can be so insensitive and ruthless.

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.

    1. I had the discussion with Mom today, Kathy and how I want to adopt a dog but there are neighbors around who would complain of disturbance and we don’t have proper space to keep.I believe that they have a soul and one should be ready to give them comfort such as their regular dog food. Hope some day. Also, time is a big constraint and don’t wanna neglect my family member. It pains me to see people neglect their pets.
