Day 3: Three Day Quotes Challenge
Today is Day 3-Three Day Quotes Challenge where I was tagged by Madhavi. Happiness is when a colleague and friend gives you birthday gifts, plus amazing book marks, which I am sharing with you.
For Day 3, I have a few quotes to share with you, mates. The first one is straight from a Hindi movie, Happy New Year where Shah Rukh Khan mouth the dialogue in a tapoori style which I love.
“Saali kismet badi kuti cheez, kabhie bhi palat sakte hain”
(It’s a dog’s destiny when things can change over night)
I have been an avid collector of quotes and have quite a few collection where I used to preserve newspaper cuttings, that appeared on Hindustan Times single column under the heading ‘WordSmith’ during the days when I was still in India.
Leaving some for your sheer delight:
-The best love affairs are the ones we never had (Norman Lindsay).
-Is it so bad to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
-The dawn is not distant, nor is the night starless; love is eternal (Henry Longfellow, poet)
-Laughter is the shortest distance between between two people (Victor Borge).
-There is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power. (Alain Cohen).
