Turning the wheel of time

The past can be painful and ecstatic joy,

as we turn back the wheel of time.

A song, an incident or memories brings alive the past.

We pride ourselves in turning a leaf and never to look back.

Yet! It’s the biggest tragedy when thoughts keep popping up.

We can never dissociate from the past that haunt us.

It can be a blissful past or sadness,

the past shall knock on the doors,

perhaps a harbinger of what lies ahead.

Our past shall never cease to define us.

It tasted like cherry and mint,

it was our swan song.

Why are we intent on revisiting the painful past and joy, lost in translation?

It’s a misnomer to say that human emotions are fickle,

a mind that cannot bear separation.

Why then say that we’ve turned the wheel, never to look back!

May be, there are bigger things in store in obstinately trying to relive this past?!

  1. I think we should have a healthy relationship with our past, after all, it is where we came from how can we turn the leaf and forget? we don’t forget the previous chapter as we move forth in the story 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot. A flash moment that make it seem as if it was yesterday only. Guess, one should be well equipped for a smooth transition, which in many cases it isn’t.
