The King falling from grace

Perched on his throne made of gold sequin he was the crowned King,

nobody would dare touch.

His power reeked of arrogance.

Besotted by the flavor of money and candy floss arms of the mermaid,

his youthful spring came back in the time of ageing.

The invincible power super heroes are made of,

kingdom stacked with indecent wealth,

he mightily ruled over his subjects.

One day, havoc wrecked his life,

committing blunders every single day as he was blinded by power and belief that the love and affection of his people

would never die.

Power corrupts but he tasted the drug that eluded him from reality.

They soon became fed up of him and fell in the lap of the old, wise man who charmed them,

promising bread and butter.

How could they not!!!

After all, the cunning and ageing fox sprinkled salt on the minds of the people,

who became blind.

After all, who wouldn’t?

They were languished in poverty, fighting for tiny morsels.

The old fox become their savior, promising pot of gold,

they forgot the past crimes of the new messiah!

Fools they are!

They can never take destiny in their own hands.

It was judgement day.

The King was dethroned to make way for the new flavor of the season.

He fell from his throne,

but the wealth amassed during years made him the richest, swimming in pot of gold.

The new King decided to exterminate him.

After all, he might a threat to his power.

Accused of wrong doings, they stormed his house,

he was publicly humiliated when they opened the pandora box and cracked the safe vault.

It was the biggest blow that hurt his self-esteem,

the love of few of his subjects,

is whittling down the drain.

His closely guarded secrets are out in the open.

The King that was has fallen from grace.

Humiliated and stripped of his dignity,

had he known!!!

No power remains for ever.

It’s an illusion.

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.
