100 Words on Saturday 2014 #10: an unexpected visitor

Hey folks,

It’s chunao (Election) time in India and I haven’t started with posts to the Lok Sabha. It’s not issues that are missing with politicians blurting out nonsense. The culprit: I am participating in April A to Z challenge which is taxing. I thought of giving 100 Words a miss but here I am. I shall do the prompts every two weeks till the whole A to Z blogging challenge is wrapped.

Today, I am posting 100 Words on Saturday: 10 hosted by Write Tribe and scroll down for my take on ‘an unexpected visitor.’

an unexpected visitor

Chameli lived alone in her dingy and dim lit room. She spends the whole day cleaning her small area and feeding her only companion, Puppy and lie on the floor during the day. Nobody visit her. Today was different and somebody banged on her door. She opened the door and a man wearing rimmed glasses, fat belly and white beard folder his hands with Namaste. He was holding a pamphlet, Ab Ki Baar Modi Sarkar. She was stumped. He saw him on TV where they were calling him Pheku and he called the other one, Shehzaade. The Puppy licked his toes.

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.
