100 Words on Saturday 2014-3

I am participating in 100 Words on Saturday 2014-3: Photo prompt provided by the wonderful Vidya Suri ( It’s a lovely photo prompt of a cute kid in a Mithai Shop and I absolutely love the picture that conveys lovely memories full of positive energy and happiness.

Kuch Mitha Ho Jaye

“Mamma! I want Kala Jamun only,” Akash stomped his foot in the Mithai shop in Pune. Maitrei lost her patience and slapped him hard. Akash moved inches away  to retreat near the metallic bin that he held on to. Despite Maitrei best efforts to show him various delicacies, Akash didn’t bulge.  He spotted a single Kala Jamun  inside the shelf and instantly jumped with joy. Maitrei turned around when he showed his tiny finger, ‘Yeh dekho.” The Mithai wallah peeped through and handed the sweet to Akash, “It’s our treat to you.” Akash smiled as he popped the sweet in his mouth.

Sweet Love

Work-in-progress, seeker, and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian!!!
