Write Tribe Festival of Words-2: Food Food

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words 8th – 14th December 2013 at Write Tribe. Today is Day Two of the challenge and I am blogging on the theme, ‘Food, food’ that brings heart together with the selfless amount of love poured in preparing food.

Food carefully woven with love, emotion and devotion.

Utmost care taken by Mothers to prepare the delicacies that makes the tummy and soul happy.

As we take a bit, it flashes into the mind the love of our mothers’, fathers’, friends and next door aunty who feed us with tenderly affection.

On our way back home, we get a taste of the flavor in the kitchen as we dash to the kitchen, looking for mom sporting a cute smile.

Momma smiles to us as she serves our favorite delicacies, chicken masala, alu paratha, fried rice, thali and gulab jamun.

The family who sit and eat together cement the bond of love.

Food is reminiscent of childhood memories, moments of love and togetherness.

Special delicacies cooked in hotels reminds us of our parents and siblings,

as we miss them like crazy as happiness was something we can never trade for money.

Who says food is all about eating?

Food is about love, emotions and traditions, friendship, affection and bond.

The moments of life when we bear our hearts to each other as we sat at the dining table.

Food that created eternal love stories and brought lovers together,

Timeless food and love go together.

  1. Food always manages to bring people together. Food meetings are more successful than just sitting around a table and discussing work. Even if is just coffee and snacks. I love the way my mom makes “Avial”. Each time I have it, I remember the love with which she serves them to me. Yet another lovely trip down the memory lane. 🙂

    1. It is and reminds us of the love and bond we shared. Sadly, the busy world had made us become so selfish now and I am guilty of that. Need to do a re-think on how to bring back love on the table. Abhishek Bachchan said something interesting, his mom insists that the family share one meal per day and it makes sense:)

  2. Beautiful Vishal. Food prepared with love and care does bring a smile on everyone’s face and lights up our souls…family that eats together stays together…so true!

  3. Nice post. Yea…. food is all about love and bonding. Like they say so much can happen just over a cup of coffee so think about what all can happen over so much of food. 🙂

  4. “Food is about love, emotions and traditions, friendship, affection and bond.”
Very well said! It is not just about eating but about creating bonds and sharing love. 🙂

  5. Absolutely..food is not just about eating. Food has some lovely memories associated with it too 🙂 lovely post 🙂

  6. This reminds me about the DOmino’s ad.. that a pizza is about khusiyon ka time .
Very well pointed out Vishal..Sometimes even the most basic dishes can be a wonderful eating experience if they are served with love and affection
