Make Lifebuoy’s Help A Child Reach 5 campaign a reality

I came across the Lifebuoy campaign,Help a Child Reach 5, through the blog of Shilpa Garg (www.shilpagarg.com) and decided to blog about it since Shilpa is spreading awareness on a good cause. Some of the materials on this cause has been drawn from Shilpa’s blog.

The word, ‘hygiene’ is nicely neglected by some many of us, including parents and children. Little do we realize that a small step of walking to the bathroom to wash our hands before eating our meals and after we drop the garbage bin, touching pets and cleaning will ensure that we remain healthy. There is a need for all of us to spread awareness on the need that we do not suffer from ailments such as diarrhea which often lead to the death of babies and often, children do not reach the age of five. Children are our future and it is a crime when so many children die due to such frivolous reason.

Actor and film celebrity, Kajol who is a young mother, in association with Lifebuoy India, is supporting the cause of hand washing with Lifebuoy’s ‘Help A Child Reach 5’ campaign which aims to eradicate diarrhoea. The campaign has adopted a village Thesgora in Madhya Pradesh that has the highest record of diarrhea and the campaign support the noble cause of educating people on the need to make hand washing a habit.

Lifebuoy showcased a short film, ‘Help a child reach 5 campiagn’, that traces the journey of a father whose child reaches 5. It is a noble cause and Kajol should be credited for being part of it by urging people to donate so that children can reach the age of 5. You can donate online at www.youtube.com/helpachildreach5 . The fund will reach Population Services International (PSI), a leading health organization for implementing hand washing programmes.

I urge everyone to share the video online since for every share, Lifebuoy will donate One Rupee to the programme. Visit the facebook page,  Facebook.com/Lifebuoy for more information.

Disclaimer: I decided to blog about Lifebuoy’s campaign for public interest since we all need to do our bit to promote hygiene and cleanliness. Since it is a good cause to spread awareness on the need for children to grow in a healthy and clean environment, let’s do our bit to spread awareness. The post has no arrangement with Lifebuoy but is being done at my own will.

Good Night

    1. Thanks, man. You got to check the lady who inspired me, shilpagarg.com. I feel we should promote a good cause and spread awareness through our medium and it would be good if more people join us.
