Teaser Tuesday: Land of Five Rivers

teaser tuesdayHey folks, Good Morning. It’s Tuesday and you know what to expect. Teaser Tuesday!  Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Tuesday Teasers:

-I said to myself, “The wedding is to take place in another four days; the house must be full of new dresses and ornaments and the door wide open!” I left at dawn.

-‘I thought that the girl had come out to ease herself; but then her lover emerged from the other end of the field. I saw them with my own eyes.’Khuswant

Page 55, The Land of Five Rivers edited by Khushwant Singh, ‘the night of the full moon’ by Kartar Singh Duggal. The Land of Five Rivers is a collection of short stories taking place in Punjab, India and this ebautiful story, ‘the night of full moon’ was edited by Kartar Singh Duggal. Another teaser: The story has been adapted and presented in Sanjay Gupta’s film, ‘Dus Kahaniyan.’ Now, I won’t say which Kahaniyaan (story).

Enjoy N Happy Tuesday

Work-in-progress, seeker and bundle of contradictions. Stubborn and Refusal to grow up and constantly in search of myself, I blurt it out on my space. Drop in and share some love. Indian by choice.
